The Galipotans are a spacefaring race that conducted trade in the Alpha Quadrant during the late 24th century.

The Galipotan culture is known for refusing to acknowledge the concept of time, however, according to Elim Garak, "they make magnificent sweaters."

In late 2370, a Galipotan freighter, carrying merchandise for Garak, was scheduled to arrive at Deep Space 9, however was several hours late in its arrival. (DS9: "The Wire")
