Garon

Garon was captain of a Nygean ship that was caught in the Void, a section of enclosed space without stars or planets.

Kathryn Janeway invited him to join her alliance. This alliance was set up for protection and also to attempt to escape the Void. At first Garon was reluctant to join and told her he would think about it. When Valen, another captain of a ship in the Void, attacked the USS Voyager, Garon came to Janeway's aid and helped drive the attackers off.

Garon would escape with Voyager from the Void using a polaron modulator developed by Voyager. (VOY: "The Void")
