Gedi Prime is a Federation vacation planet, touted as making Risa look like a "tourist trap". It features kilometers of crystalline beaches, mood reefs, and bioluminescent waterfalls, as well as a championship golf course.

In 2377, B'Elanna Torres planned a romantic getaway for herself and Tom Paris in a holographic re-creation of Gedi Prime, but Paris became involved in preparing for the Antarian Trans-stellar Rally and forgot. (VOY: "Drive")

Later that year, The Doctor asked a holographic Reginald Barclay if he wanted to play the "back nine" on Gedi Prime or Pebble Beach at sunset. (VOY: "Inside Man")
