Gia (Barkonian)

Gia was a female Barkonian and the daughter of a town magistrate on the planet Barkon IV.

In 2370 she befriended a malfunctioning Lieutenant Commander Data who had come to her planet to retrieve radioactive material that had fallen on the planet. After falling ill from radiation poisoning, Gia, along with the rest of her town, were cured by Data's laborious efforts. When a disguised Commander Riker came to town inquiring about Data's location, it was Gia who explained that he had been attacked and subsequently buried after his "death". (TNG: "Thine Own Self")

Gia was played by actress Kimberly Cullum. The costume worn by Cullum as Gia was auctioned off in the It's A Wrap! sale and auction.
