Harry Bernard, Sr.

Doctor Harry Bernard, Sr. was a Starfleet lieutenant in the 24th century. Bernard was an oceanographer and served in the sciences division of Starfleet when he was assigned to Zadar IV and later to the USS Enterprise-D.

In 2364 Bernard's son Harry was among several Enterprise children kidnapped by the Aldeans in an effort to re-populate their planet. Bernard Sr. was upset that his last words to his son before the incident had been an argument over calculus and was thrilled when Harry was returned to him unharmed. (TNG: "When The Bough Breaks")
