Hastur

Admiral Hastur was a 24th century Starfleet flag officer. In 2372, Hastur commanded a task force of six starships, led by the USS Venture, which was dispatched to help defend Deep Space 9 from Klingons during the First Battle of Deep Space 9. The task force also included two Excelsior-class ships and a Miranda-class ship. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior")
Presumably Hastur commanded the Venture as the leading starship in the task force.
The name might be a reference to the character from the Cthulhu Mythos.
