Herta Ware (9 June 1917 – 15 August 2005; age 88) played Yvette Gessard 'Maman' Picard in the TNG episode "Where No One Has Gone Before". She was also the mother of fellow TNG guest star Ellen Geer.
She is perhaps best known for her part as Rosie in Cocoon. She also guested in TV shows such as The Golden Girls and ER.
