The Hindu faith (or Hinduism) was an Human religion that believed that the universe goes through repeated cycles of rebirth.

While visiting Earth during the mid-22nd century, Doctor Phlox became familiar with many of its religions, as well as those of the Vulcans. He compared the Hindu faith with the symbolism of the Great Plume of Agosoria, as they both represent "the continuing cycle of creation." (ENT: "Cold Front")

On stardate 44390, the Hindu festival known as the Festival of Lights was noted in the personal log kept by Data. (TNG: "Data's Day")

A deleted scene that appeared in the script of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Shakaar" mentioned a Federation starship called the USS Garuda, a name shared with the creature of Hindu mythology.
