Maggie Hubbell in 2367

Ensign Maggie Hubbell was a transporter chief aboard the USS Enterprise-D in the 2360s.

Hubbell was on duty when K'Ehleyr and Alexander Rozhenko transported aboard in 2367, (TNG: "Reunion") as well as when the impostor Ambassador T'Pel boarded the Enterprise from the USS Zhukov later that same year. (TNG: "Data's Day") She was also the transporter chief when Leah Brahms visited the Enterprise in 2367. (TNG: "Galaxy's Child")

Hubbell transported an away team to Alpha Onias III while the Enterprise was investigating possible Romulan presence on the planet. Her attempts to retrieve the away team were blocked by the lifeform known as Barash, who kidnapped Commander William T. Riker in order to have another sentient being on his world. (TNG: "Future Imperfect")

Hubbell beamed two mischievous Ferengi off of their stricken vessel in 2368. (TNG: "The Perfect Mate")

She was on duty in Transporter Room 3 when Miles O'Brien left the Enterprise for the last time after his reassignment to Deep Space 9. She was relieved by Captain Picard, who personally transported O'Brien to the station. (DS9: "Emissary")

[edit] Background

Hubbell was played by April Grace. Her first name was given in "Emissary", a homage to then-TNG writers' assistant Maggie Allen; the last name – a nod to astrophysicist and space telescope namesake Edwin Hubbell – was heard only once, in TNG: "Future Imperfect".
