Ian Abercrombie (born 11 September 1936; age 73) is a British actor who has had many roles, but is probably best known as Mr. Pitt in the American comedy Seinfeld, which co-stars Jason Alexander as well as many other Trek alumni. He did a voiceover in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Family", Abbot in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Someone to Watch Over Me", and Milo, a holographic resident of Fair Haven, in the Voyager episode "Spirit Folk".

Outside of Trek, he also played Alfred the butler in the short-lived series Birds of Prey with Dina Meyer and played the Wise Man in the cult classic Army of Darkness. Other films he appeared in include Sole Survivor (1970, with William Shatner, Lou Antonio, and John Winston), S.O.S. Titanic (1979, with Maurice Roëves), Blood Beach (1981, with Stefan Gierasch, Marianna Hill, and Bobby Bass), and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997, with Geno Silva, Katy Boyer, Marjean Holden, Jacqueline Schultz, and J. Patrick McCormack)
