Idran system
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference.
The Idran system is a star system located 4.7234 light years away from the terminus of the Bajoran wormhole in the Gamma Quadrant; 70,000 light years from Bajor. It is a ternary system consisting of a central supergiant star (FGC-1215) and twin spectral class O-type companions, with no M-class planets.
The Federation obtained its first data of this star system with the 22nd century interstellar Quadros-1 probe. A hydrogen-alpha spectral analysis was among the scans performed on the system. This analysis was later used to identify the system when the first manned Starfleet vessel entered the Gamma Quadrant. (DS9: "Emissary")
Julian Bashir pointed out the Idran system to Kai Opaka during her trip through the Bajoran Wormhole in 2369. (DS9: "Battle Lines")
- This is also likely where the Idran hybrid originates.
