Ilyra VI was, according to Harry Mudd, a "charming planet" that had an "innocent and friendly populace."

Mudd found refuge on Ilyra VI in the late 2260s after he stole a spaceship from the robot planet he was imprisoned on.

While on Ilyra VI, Mudd committed fraud by selling Starfleet Space Academy to its' inhabitants. His sale earned him enough credits to get to Sirius IX. (TAS: "Mudd's Passion")
