Influenza, known colloquially as the flu, is a common Human disease, causing fever, congestion, and other symptoms. Common treatments include Tryptophan-lysine distillate, Pulaski's chicken soup. Similar ailments include Toluncan ague and Hesperan thumping cough. The isolated USS Voyager was known to have a flu season, when the flu is more communicable, but it is unknown if other starships suffer the same problem. (TNG: "The Icarus Factor"; VOY: "Virtuoso")
