An interspatial flexure is one of several tunneling phenomena that can be classified as wormholes.

A spatial flexure, or more precisely an intermittent cyclical vortex, exists inside the territory of the Devore Imperium. It manifested only infrequently for only brief periods of time and in varying locations. It was frequently used by telepaths fleeing persecution by the Devore, including a group of Brenari refugees rescued by the USS Voyager in 2375. It had been studied by Torat. (VOY: "Counterpoint")
