Intoxication

Intoxication, also known as drunkenness, is a medical condition when a person is under the influence of a substance they have ingested or been exposed to. Typically associated with alcohol, it can be caused by other substances.
Its symptoms include slurred speech, loss of balance, and loss of inhibitions. Polywater is another intoxicating substance. (TOS: "The Naked Time"; TNG: "The Naked Now")
