Iraq was a nation-state in the Middle East region of Earth. It roughly occupied the area which had been Mesopotamia.
In 2003, the USA, under George W. Bush, planned to attack Iraq and remove its leader Saddam Hussein from power. A news article about Bush's plans on Iraq was seen in the 31st century temporal observatory of Daniels. (ENT: "Future Tense")
