Isolation sickness is a psychological condition caused by a prolonged absence of interpersonal contact.

The Haakonian who traded Abaddon the starship later called "Alice" told him that it was "haunted". At the time, Abaddon dismissed those claims as signs of isolation sickness. (VOY: "Alice")
