James Goldstone (8 June 1931 – 5 November 1999; age 68) directed the second pilot for Star Trek: The Original Series, "Where No Man Has Gone Before", as well as the first season episode "What Are Little Girls Made Of?".
Outside of Star Trek, Goldstone has directed for such shows as The Outer Limits, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Dr. Kildare, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E., as well as such feature films as Winning, Brother John, Red Sky at Morning, and Rollercoaster.
