Jane Espenson wrote the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine season four episode "Accession". She later went on to be a writer on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and the short-lived Firefly.
Espenson recently wrote "The Passage" and "Dirty Hands", both third season episodes of Ronald D. Moore's Battlestar Galactica. She will be a co-executive producer for the fourth season and the spinoff DVD film Battlestar Galactica: Razor, which will focus on the Pegasus, commanded by Helen Cain (Michelle Forbes), prior to it encountering the Galactica.
