Jaret Otel

Jaret Otel, a Sikarian, offered to provide the USS Voyager with technology of the spatial trajector, a device that could fold space and cut years off Voyager's journey home. His government refused to provide the technology due to its Prime Directive.

Otel contacted B'Elanna Torres and Seska, the latter of whom disobeyed Captain Janeway's orders not to deal with Otel. He wanted to trade the matrix for Voyager's library of literature and logs of its travels. Tuvok joined with Torres, but the trade failed when the technology Otel provided was not compatible with Voyager's systems. (VOY: "Prime Factors")
