Jimmy

Jimmy was a Human who lived in Harlem, New York, during the 1950s. Jimmy was a petty criminal and friend of Benny Russell who, despite himself, was encouraged by Benny's story about a black captain of a futuristic space station.

When Russell's story was refused for publication, Jimmy derided him for wasting his time. Russell countered that Jimmy should be looking for ways to make something of himself instead of living the stereotype of a criminal that was commonplace amid the racism of the time.

Jimmy was ultimately killed by Burt Ryan and Kevin Mulkahey, during a criminal deal gone wrong. (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")
