Joseph Steven Klus (born 5 September 1956; age 53) is an actor and writer from Chicago, Illinois, who portrayed a Romulan engineer in 2009's Star Trek. [1] He is often credited as Joseph Steven, though he sometimes also uses the name Josef Klus or Josef S. Klus. According to his profile on the Internet Movie Database, he will be using the latter name for his role in Star Trek.
Klus made his feature film debut in 2000's The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, starring Joan Collins. He had his first credited film role as a mental ward patient in the 2001 science fiction drama K-PAX, which also featured William Lucking and Alfre Woodard. He was then seen as a bandit in the 2002 action film The Scorpion King, which starred Star Trek: Voyager guest actor The Rock in the title role.
Most recently, Klus appeared in the 2006 blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (as did Lee Arenberg). In addition, Klus has appeared on such television series as The District (on which Roger Aaron Brown was a regular), Titus, and Wanda at Large. He also portrayed the principal role of St. Matthew in the 1999 History Channel documentary The Twelve Apostles. This is in addition to his many commercials and stage productions and his work as a copywriter and content writer.
