In the 2360s, William T. Riker wore furs when he spoke with the leadership council. When confronted on wearing male traditional garb in a mission to Angel I by Natasha Yar and Deanna Troi for a meeting with the Elected One, Beata, he made a reference to this event when speaking of the compromises required for diplomacy.
