Kang's battle cruiser was a D7 class Klingon battle cruiser commanded by Captain Kang during the late 2260s. She had a crew complement of 437.
In 2268, Kang's battle cruiser responded to a Klingon distress call transmitted from the planet Beta XII-A. En route the cruiser mysteriously sustained massive internal damage, caused by explosions, disabling the ship. The result was the death of 400 of the ship's crew.
As the ship drifted towards Beta XII-A, Kang beamed down to the planet to discover Captain Kirk on the surface. Kang accused Kirk of attacking his ship and took Kirk prisoner while claiming the orbiting USS Enterprise for the Klingon Empire.
Kang convinced Kirk to beam the group up to the Enterprise, where he and the remaining 37 survivors were transported aboard as prisoners. Kang's ship would further be destroyed by the Enterprise's phasers to eliminate the danger the cruiser posed from the massive amount of hazardous radiation it was emitting. (TOS: "Day of the Dove")
- Footage of Kang's battle cruiser was a reuse of the Klingon battle cruiser that appeared in TOS: "Elaan of Troyius".
- The non-canon comic book "Blood Reign O'er Me" names the ship as the Voh'Tahk, while the novel Excelsior: Forged in Fire gives the name as Klolode.
