The Mauser Karabiner 98k was the standard-issue infantry rifle of Nazi Germany during World War II.
On the USS Voyager in 2374, the crew fought in a holodeck recreation of World War II using various captured German weapons, including the Karabiner 98ks. Janeway killed the lead Hirogen with a holographic Mauser Karabiner 98k. (VOY: "The Killing Game", "The Killing Game, Part II")
