Kate Vernon (born 1961) is a Canadian actress who played a member of Species 8472 who was impersonating Commander Valerie Archer in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "In the Flesh". She is the daughter of Bruce McGill's Animal House costar John Vernon.
She recently played "Ellen Tigh" on the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series, written and developed by former Star Trek writer Ronald D. Moore, and guest starred on an episode of CSI satirizing sci-fi and Star Trek conventions. She previously had recurring roles on the TV series Nash Bridges and L.A. Law.
