Kazuhiko Sano (1952 –) is an artist born in Tokyo, Japan, where he also studied oil painting. In 1975, he moved to San Francisco in the United States to study illustration. He began painting movie posters, advertising, and book covers. Some companies he has worked for include Disney, Paramount, Lucasfilm, American Express, IBM, and Coca Cola. He has published several books collecting his artwork and illustrations, and has won numerous awards for both his art and his books.
He painted a large number of reprint covers for the Star Trek books.
