Kuril Islands

The Kuril Islands were an island archipelago of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. These islands were situated between the Sea of Okhotsk and the Pacific Ocean. This chain of islands started at the Kamchatka Peninsula and ended at the island of Hokkaido, Japan. Paramushir was the largest island of the Kurils. (TOS: "The Cage")
This archipelago was identified on a political map of the North Pacific Region in the USS Enterprise library computer. This map was retrieved by the Talosians when they accessed the starship's computers in 2254.
