Kurt Paul is an actor who was a background extra in several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. As an extra, he received no credit for his appearances. A costume worn by him was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay, where the name tag list him as K. Paul. [1]

Paul is maybe best known for his performance as Norman Bates in the Psycho spoof Bates Motel (1987, with Lori Petty, Gregg Henry, Kerrie Keane, Robert Picardo, and John Kenton Shull), his recurring role as coroner Normal Blates in the television series Sledge Hammer (1986-1987, alongside Leslie Morris and Patti Tippo), and his role as Raymond Linette in the horror sequel Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990).

Paul also portrayed characters in the comedy Skatetown, U.S.A. (1979, with Bob Minor), the horror film Ghost Writer (1990, with Leigh Taylor-Young), the science fiction film Alien Species (1996, with Charles Napier), the television action film Fugitive X: Innocent Target (1996, with Clement von Franckenstein and William Windom), the action film Warpath (2000), the television movie A Passion (2001), the comedy The Bike Squad (2002), and the television film Supernatural (2005).

He also appeared in the television series The A-Team (1984, with Dwight Schultz and Marta DuBois), Knight Rider (1984, with Patricia McPherson), and Cagney & Lacey (1985), and performed stunts in the two horror films Psycho II (1983) and Psycho III (1986).

More recently he completed the horror thriller The Confessional (2008, with Patrick Kilpatrick) and the documentary The Psycho Legacy (2009).
