Landing thruster

Landing thrusters propulsion devices which are used in the event a starship must land on a planet or space station surface. Usually, structure-stable ships like the NX class or Intrepid-class have these. Without the landing thrusters, landing may have been rough or dangerous. On the USS Voyager, one of some missions requiring the ship to land was on the Demon class planet. (VOY: "Demon")
