Lestrade

Lestrade is a character in Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes novels. He is a police inspector with London's Scotland Yard.

He was included in Data's holonovel of the stories. During one visit to the holodeck, Lestrade asked Data, who was playing Holmes, to help him solve a murder. Having memorized every one of the Sherlock Holmes books, Data solved the crime with very little effort. (TNG: "Elementary, Dear Data")

Lestrade was played by Alan Shearman.
