The 24th century Federation starship, USS Gandhi, was named in his honor. (TNG: "Second Chances"; DS9: "Defiant")
- Gandhi was played by actor Noel De Souza, and was credited by the spelling of "Ghandi".
- According to the script for "In the Hands of the Prophets", Vedek Bareil Antos was described as being reminiscent of Gandhi.
