Maine was a region in North America that was, in the 20th century, a state of the United States of America. Maine was both a coastal and a border state, with its boundaries touching the Atlantic Ocean and Canada. (DS9: "Little Green Men").
In an alternate timeline, Maine was one of the states that fell victim to the invasion of the United States by Nazi Germany in World War II. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II")
- The state of Maine is clearly visible on a wall map seen in "Little Green Men" but the state itself has never been mentioned in dialog.
