Mark Barrett is an actor who portrayed a background Ferengi in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. His costume was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay and was previously worn by guest actor Lee Arenberg in the episode "The Nagus". [1]

Barrett may have portrayed a Ferengi in the episode "Family Business". This has yet to be confirmed.

Barrett studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and earned a BA in Theater from UCLA. He is also trained in jazz and tap dance. Beside several stage plays, Barrett had featured and recurring parts in several television series, such as Generations, General Hospital, Stand By Your Man, Boy Meets World, Ask Harriet (1998, with Willie Garson and Rob LaBelle), The Naked Truth (1998), Malibu, CA (1999), and Passions.

Among his feature film credits are the drama Tap (1989, with Terrence E. McNally, Lloyd Kino), Mike Nichols' comedy Postcards from the Edge (1990, with George D. Wallace, Marcelo Tubert, and Natalia Nogulich), Peter Weir's drama Fearless (1993, with John de Lancie, Steven Culp, Stephanie Erb, Eric Menyuk, David Carpenter, and Rico E. Anderson), the action drama Texas Payback (1998, with Angelo Tiffe), and the comedy sequel Scary Movie 2 (2001, along Anthony Acker).
