A material subsistence report was a report that was compiled by a liaison officer.

In 2369, Commander Sisko and Major Kira of Deep Space 9 had to compile such a report before the week ended. Kira was unable to help Sisko with the report, as she was trying to convince Mullibok to leave Jeraddo. (DS9: "Progress")
