Melanie

In an alternate timeline Melanie was a young woman in the mid-25th century who aspired to become a writer. One of her heroes was Jake Sisko, though she was always curious why he stopped writing.
She sought out her idol at his home near New Orleans one night to ask him about this. Jake proceeded to regale her with the tale of how he abandoned his writing career and devoted his life to saving his father, who had been pushed out of normal space in an accident decades earlier and had reappeared briefly before Jake numerous times.
Melanie left Jake's home, promising to enjoy life as Jake never had. (DS9: "The Visitor")
- Melanie was played by Rachel Robinson, the daughter of Andrew J. Robinson (Garak).
