Michael Durrell (born 6 October 1943; age 64) is the actor from Brooklyn, New York, who played General Hazar in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Sanctuary".

Durrell's first motion picture debut came in the 1978 movie Thank God It's Friday. Former TOS stuntman Phil Adams was the stunt coordinator for the movie.

In 1980's The American Success Company, he starred with fellow DS9 guest star John Glover.

Durrell played Christian in 1982's Bayou Romance. Michael Ansara played the leading role of Zanko.

Durrell is best known for his roll as Robert Maxwell in the 1983 NBC mini series "V", he reprised his roll as Robert Maxwell in the 1984 sequel "V: The Final Battle". He appeared in the first episode of "V: The Series" as Robert Maxwell. "V" and "V: The Final Battle" also stars DS9 guest star Andrew Prine and TNG, VOY guest star Richard Herd. "V: The Final Battle" also had TNG and DS9 guest star Dick Miller, and TNG and VOY guest star Mark L. Taylor.

He was a main cast member in Matlock from 1986 to 1990. He reprised the role in the 1991 television movie Matlock: The Suspect.

In 1992, he starred in Sister Act with Whoopi Goldberg and Max Grodénchik.

Durrell had a recurring role as Dr. John Martin in Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1993 to 2000 with Ann Gillespie.

In 2005 he starred in two motion pictures and a television movie. In Rumor Has It he stars with Andy Milder, Jordan Lund and Christopher McDonald. In Magma he plays the President of the United States. His third movie of the year was Bald.
