Michael Eugene Fairman was born on 25 February 1934 in New York. He was credited for playing a Bajoran vendor in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "In the Hands of the Prophets". However the actor who appeared in the final episode is not him.
Fairman and future Star Trek: Voyager star Kate Mulgrew were among the original cast members of the TV series Ryan's Hope. He went on to have a regular role on the series Cagney & Lacey and a recurring role on L.A. Law.
In 2000, he co-starred with the likes of Steven Culp, Bill Smitrovich, Kevin Conway, Jack Blessing and Tim Kelleher in the motion picture Thirteen Days. The following year, he appeared in the acclaimed drama Mulholland Drive.
