Michael M. Mills is a makeup artist. His first encounter with Star Trek was working as a special makeup artist on Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. After working on the second and third entries in the Back to the Future trilogy and the second Predator movie, he then worked as special makeup effects artist and special alien makeup creator on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, earning a Best Makeup Oscar nomination from the Academy Awards (shared with Edward French and Richard Snell) and a Best Make-Up Saturn Award nomination from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films (shared with French).

In 1991, he was interviewed for the Star Trek 25th Anniversary Special documentary about his work and award nomination.

Other films he has worked on include Mystery Men, Volcano, Alien Nation, and Monkeybone.

He currently works on the Without a Trace television show.
