Mitch David Carter played the SWAT leader in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Past Tense, Part II".

Carter also guest starred in How the West Was Won (with fellow DS9 guest star John Beck), The Waltons (with Jonathan Banks), The Dukes of Hazzard, T.J. Hooker (with William Shatner, James Darren and Richard Herd), Tour of Duty and Home Improvement.

His motion picture credits include Children of the Corn, Savage Streets, Everybody's All-American, Disorganized Crime (with Corbin Bernsen and Daniel Roebuck), The First Power (with Julianna McCarthy, Clayton Landey and J. Patrick McNamara), Tom and Huck, Mulan (with George Takei and Miguel Ferrer) and Sordid Lives.

Carter has also looped voices in films such as Native Son, While You Were Sleeping, The Limey, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, American Beauty, Meet the Parents and Shrek.

He also voiced Gordon Dawson and Strother Martin in The Wild Bunch: An Album in Montage documentary.
