A molecular transporter was a form of transporter technology possessed by the Kalandans capable of transporting objects as large as a starship to a distance of 990.7 light years.

In 2269, the USS Enterprise was transported from the Kalandan outpost that distance, however the transporter factor M-7 reassembled the ship out phase by .0009. As a result, it affected the magnetic flow, making it necessary to reverse polarity on the magnetic probe used to disrupt said flow allowing the ship to drop out of warp. (TOS: "That Which Survives")
