Lieutenant Morgan Kelly was the Chief of Security aboard the USS Essex under Captain Bryce Shumar in mid-22nd century.

Kelly was killed in 2167 when the Essex was destroyed by an electromagnetic storm, while in orbit of a Class M moon of Mab-Bu VI. (TNG: "Power Play")
