Morta

Morta was a Ferengi privateer and entrepreneur who served under DaiMon Lurin in the 24th century.

In 2369 when Lurin attempted to capture and sell a Galaxy-class starship Morta, along with Berik and several other Ferengi, boarded the USS Enterprise-D under force. Morta and Berik transported onto the bridge where Morta wounded Lt. Worf with an energy weapon.

After the capture of the Enterprise had been completed, Lurin, threatening to execute Enterprise's civilian personnel, ordered Commander William T. Riker to release his lockout of the main computer and instruct Morta on its use. Riker successfully stalled for time by exploiting Morta's dim-wittedness and confusing him with gibberish terms until Captain Picard could effect a rescue of the bridge. (TNG: "Rascals")
