Movie Magic was a documentary series broadcast by the Discovery Channel during 1994-1997. The focus of the series were the various aspects of special effects used in movies and television. Of particular interest for Star Trek was:
[edit] Season 1, Episode 11: Models and Miniatures: A Model of Perfection
This episode broadcast in 1994, was totally devoted to Star Trek, in particular the episodes "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II" and "Emissary" and focused on the art of miniature photography. Apart from behind-the-scenes footage this episode also contained interviews with Howard Anderson Jr., Richard C. Datin, Jr., Robert Legato, Dan Curry and Gregory Jein. Also featured were David Carson and Tony Meininger.
The series consisted of seventy episodes divided over five seasons.
