NCC-500

NCC-500 was the registry number of a Saladin-class Federation starship. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)
The registry, like the class, was originally derived from the Star Fleet Technical Manual. According to that manual, NCC-500 is named the USS Saladin and is the prototype of the Saladin-class of Federation starships.
