Neptune class

Neptune-class starships were warp 2 survey ships used by Starfleet during the mid-22nd century. They were in service as early as 2141, and utilized the same model captain's chair as equipped on the NX class. (ENT: "Singularity")

It has been speculated that the two triangular ships seen in "The Expanse" and "Twilight" could be of the Neptune-class, but this has not been confirmed. The use of this class name is inconsistent with the classification system established in Enterprise. It may, however, be a colloquial term for a more correct class name.
