Nestor

In Cardassian judicial proceedings, a nestor is a counselor to the accused. The nestor is an officer of the Cardassian court, and acts as an advocate for the accused.

Constable Odo acted as nestor to Chief Miles O'Brien during his trial on Cardassia Prime for collaborating with the Maquis. (DS9: "Tribunal")
