Neural stimulator
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference.
A neural stimulator was a medical instrument used to stimulate particular areas of a humanoid brain.
Dr. McCoy used one to give Spock's body life support and motion after his brain had been stolen by the Eymorgs. These devices could be operated by remote control, if neccessary. (TOS: "Spock's Brain")."
In 2364, Doctor Beverly Crusher used a neural stimulator in an unsuccessful attempt to revive Natasha Yar, after she had been fatally wounded by Armus. (TNG: "Skin of Evil").
In 2368, "Professor" Berlinghoff Rasmussen stole a neural stimulator from the USS Enterprise-D, planning to sell the technology in the 22nd century. (TNG: "A Matter of Time").
In 2374, Ensign Nog used several neural stimulators stimulate Keevan's cerebellum after he was accidentally killed before he could be traded for Ishka, who had been captured by the Dominion. The stimulators allowed Nog to "walk" the corpse, albeit in an unnatural fashion, deceiving Yelgrun long enough for Ishka to get to safety. (DS9: "The Magnificent Ferengi").
