Nick Tate (born 18 June 1942; age 66) is an actor from Australia who guest-starred in the first two Star Trek spin-offs.
He played Dirgo in the 1990 Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Final Mission" and the Orion Syndicate operative Liam Bilby in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Honor Among Thieves".
He is best known for his role as Astronaut Alan Carter on the 1970s series Space: 1999, alongside Martin Landau, an early candidate for the role of Spock. Recently, he has been one of the leading voice-over artists for movie trailers.
Tate has also guest starred in Farscape, The X-Files (with Brian Thompson and George Murdock) and Lost (with Terry O'Quinn and Daniel Dae Kim).
