Nonhumanoid exobiology is a localized branch of exobiology that devoted exclusively to the study of nonhumanoids.

One of Cardassian Doctor Crell Moset's specialties included nonhumanoid exobiology. For this reason, Moset was chosen by the Doctor to assist in the removal of a cytoplasmic lifeform that was attached to B'Elanna Torres in 2375. (VOY: "Nothing Human")
